A Celebration of Women in Boxing: WBC Women's Summit and International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame -by Sue Fox (APR 10) A unique celebration took place recently at the Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Over four days from April 2 to April 5th. The spotlight was shone on women in boxing, as the WBC Women's Summit and the International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame (IWBHF) held back-to-back events. These gatherings not only honored past and present champions but also brought together the community that drives the sport forward.
 

The WBC Women's Summit, held from April 2 to 3, 2025, was a gathering like no other. Boxing enthusiasts, active and retired champions, and supporters of women's boxing came together in an event that was as informative as it was celebratory. The summit featured panels that discussed important issues facing women in boxing, including representation, safety, and career development, ensuring that participants left equipped with valuable insights.

One of the most interesting aspects of the summit was the recognition of several extraordinary women who have made significant contributions to the sport. Awards were presented celebrating their achievements and inspiring the next generation of female boxers.  FULL STORY

LAS VEGAS, NV [February 27, 2025]  In an exciting announcement for boxing enthusiasts and advocates of women's boxing, Mayor Shelley Berkley of the City of Las Vegas has proclaimed April 5, 2025, as "International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame Day." This proclamation marks a significant milestone for the International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame (IWBHF), which will host its annual induction ceremony at the Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. This year's event promises not just celebration but also recognition of the extraordinary contributions women have made to the sport of boxing, and those outside the ring, male and female who have contributed tremendously to the sport of women's boxing.  FULL STORY

 

The Countdown Begins: Two-Day International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame Event-April 4-5, 2025!

LAS VEGAS, NV- The countdown has officially begun! Mark your calendars for April 4-5, 2025, because the much-anticipated International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame (IWBHF) event is set to return to Las Vegas at the vibrant Orleans Hotel & Casino. This year, the "Night of the Stars II" will be an exciting two-day celebration as we honor the elite athletes and remarkable individuals who have made significant contributions to women's boxing.  *** FULL STORY

 

On our Pre-celebration that will take place on Friday, April 4, 2025, we celebrate our special award recipients who are are the "Women Cops Who Box"!  We have 12 "Women Cops Who Box" being honored and celebrated this day. In the first day of our event, Friday, on April 4, 2025, in the Salon Ballroom from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. is a day filled with honoring and celebrating our Special Award Recipients.  We will be honoring our first responders, "WOMEN COPS WHO BOX", that include twelve (13) female boxers that have worked in law enforcement either presently or in the past.

The Induction ceremony/Dinner event will take place on Saturday, April 5, 2025, the Grand Finale of our "semi-formal" Induction Ceremony and dinner. Saturday night will be in the Mardi-Gra Ballroom. This night we will celebrate our 2025 IWBHF Inductees, and some special award recipients. It's not just an event; it's a weekend where fans and athletes come together to share stories, inspire one another, and strengthen the community and networking.
It begins at 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm - Meet and Greet, 6:00 pm, dinner is served in the Ballroom - Induction ceremony begins at 7:00 pm. to about 9:30 pm to 9:45 pm.

The City of Las Vegas Embraces Women's Boxing Making our International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame event, "Women's Boxing Day"!  (JUNE 22) LAS VEGAS, NV---The City of Las Vegas has yet again embraced Women's Boxing when on our second day of our International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame (IWBHF) event that is set to take place on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, has been declared a proclamation day as  "Women's Boxing Day."  Full Story

 

The "Night of the Stars" Latest Who's Who at the International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame Event in Las Vegas!

 

LAS VEGAS - (May 18, 2023)  The International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame (IWBHF) celebrates our 10-year Anniversary with our "Night of the Stars" Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Event that takes place in a two-day celebration scheduled on October 6-7, 2023 (Friday/Saturday) at the Orleans Hotel & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada.   We are also Celebrating the 25th year of  Women Boxing Archive Network (WBAN).

We are proud to announce that ALL of Our International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame "Modern Boxer" Inductees Category for this year upcoming induction event for (2023-2024) are ALL past World Champions, to check them out go here.

Shortly after our last year's event that took place at the Orleans Hotel & Casino on October 22, 2022, we made a decision to make a "unique special" IWBHF event for 2023.   IWBHF Vice President, Wanda Countiss said, why don't we call our 2023 IWBHF event "The Night of the Stars"!  It was the perfect title for such a huge event that will take place this year in Las Vegas!
