At the end of 2013, WBAN
announced formative steps towards establishing the International Women’s Boxing
Hall of Fame. The history-first hall of fame that was founded by Sue TL Fox, had
their first Inaugural Induction Ceremony on July 10, 2014, in Ft. Lauderdale,
Florida. The homebase for the IWBHF is now in Las Vegas, Nevada, as of 2021, and
this will be our fourth year of our event taking place at the Orleans Hotel &
Casino. As of 2025 we have now 132 female boxers, and those who contributed to
the sport of women’s boxing outside the ring.
Every year we will have an
induction of the honorees who have contributed significantly in the sport of
women’s boxing. The IWBHF is ®registered with the State of Washington, UBI#
602333419.
The IWBHF annually recognizes and honors the achievements of legendary female
boxers, trainers, promoters, and officials who have made significant
contributions to the sport. Each year, a select few are inducted into the hall
of fame based on their impact on women's boxing. This prestigious event not only
celebrates these remarkable individuals but also serves as a platform to inspire
future generations of female fighters.
The IWBHF's commitment to preserving the rich history of women's boxing is
unparalleled. By highlighting the accomplishments of these trailblazers, the
hall of fame ensures that their contributions are never forgotten. Through their
dedication and resilience, these women have shattered barriers and paved the way
for future generations to thrive in a traditionally male-dominated sport.
The IWBHF's mission goes beyond recognizing achievements; it is about
empowering and inspiring female boxers to pursue their dreams, knowing that they
stand on the shoulders of giants..
