Excerpt from the IWBHF Bylaws: ARTICLE 1 -International Women’s Boxing
Hall of Fame Committee
A. Assigned board members will be
responsible for voting on the final nominees. The number of board members may fluctuate
in number, at any time, given the specific needs of the IWBHF. The IWBHF
has the right at anytime to make changes to the board when necessary.
B. The Committee will be comprised of the Founder/President of the IWBHF and voluntary
members.
C. The Founder/President of the IWBHF will be a permanent member of the Committee. All
other voluntary board members will serve according to availability or the
discretion of the IWBHF. Each year the Founder/President of the IWBHF will
announce any changes to the board for the following year.
D. Election Committee:
The resulting group of nominees will be presented to the Election Committee for
the final induction vote, during which there could, possibly, be slight
revisions to the final list of nominees. The three person committee will be
comprised of: Sue Fox and Rick McLean and Bernie McCoy, two active boxing
writers who cover the sport on a daily and continuing basis.
E. The IWBHF has the exclusive right to make changes yearly or during the
year of the inductions to fulfill what is needed to continue this successful
program to honor the sport in women's boxing.
F. Nominations of IWBHF Board
Members to the Hall of Fame
Should a current board member be nominated for induction into the IWBHF and that
member chooses to be voted upon for induction, the member must resign from their
position with the IWBHF prior to the induction vote taking place. In the case of
a board member who was inducted into the IWBHF prior to joining the board, such
member may retain both their inductee and board membership status.
