The primary mission of the IWBHF
is to call honorary attention to those professional female boxers (now retired)
along with men and women whose contributions to the sport and it's athletes,
from outside the ring, have been instrumental in growing female boxing.
The IWBHF achieves its mission by inducting deserving individuals into the Hall
of Fame, preserving their legacies for future generations.
Through this recognition, the organization aims to inspire young female
boxers, providing them with role models and champions to look up to as they
pursue their own careers in the sport.
The Hall of Fame also serves as a hub for
research and education, offering resources to boxing enthusiasts, historians,
and scholars, through our affiliated websites.
The non-boxer inductees will be individuals who, in the opinion of the IWBHF board, have distinguished themselves through extraordinary efforts in the
promotion and development of female boxing by providing competitive
opportunities for female boxers in the ring and/or providing increased awareness
and positive exposure for female boxing and it's athletes within the sporting
public.
These non-boxer inductees will
be celebrated for their contributions to the growth and recognition of women's
boxing, which has long been underrepresented and underappreciated.
By supporting female boxers and
advocating for their visibility, these individuals have played a crucial role in
breaking down barriers and challenging gender stereotypes within the sport.
Their efforts have paved the way for a new generation of talented female
fighters to thrive and inspire others.
The IWBHF recognizes the importance of these non-boxer inductees and their
impact extends far beyond the confines of the ring. Through their dedication and
commitment, they have not only elevated the sport itself but have also empowered
countless women to pursue their dreams in a traditionally male-dominated field.
