Speaking of the July 10, 2014 ceremony in a recent interview, Sue Fox, founder
of the IWBHF and WBAN, noted, "the first award celebration in Florida turned out
better and more successful than I ever even imagined." Media coverage was
highlighted by a "live feed" stream on LDLTV.com and coverage on numerous
Internet boxing sites, extending to such main stream publications as Ring
Magazine.
Additionally, following the event, social media vehicles, including Facebook,
bristled with positive reaction and congratulatory messages, from the boxing
community, praising the concept of a female boxing hall of fame and the first
class of inductees.
It was clearly one of the top events of the year in the sport of Women's boxing,
prompting the question "how can the second year be improved?"
First and
foremost, the sport's fans, who, with their enthusiastic participation have
voiced overwhelming support of the Hall of Fame and the initial group of
inductees continue to be the starting point of the induction process.
Utilizing this process we will be announcing our 2015 Inductees on December 1,
2015.
